Nur ein bisschen was...

...viel Neues ist in letzter Zeit nicht unter der Nähmaschine hervor gekommen, aber ein bisschen was hab ich zu zeigen.

In genau zwei Monaten ist Ring*Con und das bedeutet, ein Outfit muss noch her, sowie ein Cape zum Rosenkleid. Die Planungen für das Kleid stehen, es geht in Richtung Rohan, wird also eher bodenständig sein.

Als kleine Erwärmung habe ich ein Cape gemacht, damit Frau stilecht von A nach Mittelerde kommt. Es ist aus grauem Wollstoff, die Kapuze habe ich mit Taft gefüttert und mit meiner Premieren-Stickdatei geschmückt. Im Moment ist die Schließe nur angepinnt, die werde ich noch mal lackieren, denn sie war vorher golden und ich habe sie mit Blattmetall "versilbert". An den vorderen Kanten hat meine Nähmaschine noch eine passenden Zierstich hingezaubert :)

There isn't so much new stuff to show you, but I made some little things.

In two month is Ring*Con, that means, I have to make a third outfit and a cape for the rose dress.

I made plans for the new dress and decided, that it will be somewhat Rohan, so it will be simple.

I made this cape for having warmth in a stilish middle-earth way ;) It is made of grey wool and the hood is lined with taffeta. It has embroidery on the hood, featuring my very first embroidery design. The closure isn't sewn on yet, it was golden before, I used silver foil to switch the colour.

On the front edges I made a nice embroidery stitch with my sewing machine.

Für das neue Kleid muss ich wieder mal etwas färben. Zudem möchte ich meine neu erlangten "Fähigkeiten" in Stitch Era nutzen, es wird also bestickt werden. Etwas rum probiert dafür habe ich schon...

For the new dress I have to dye again. And I want to use my new "skills" in Stitch Era, so it will be embrodered. I made a first sample...

Das nächste, was ich euch zeigen möchte, ist diese wunderschöne schweizer Dame, die seit kurzem bei mir wohnt :)

The next thing I wanna show you is this old swiss lady, which has moved in here a few days ago :)

Das ist eine Bernina minimatic 707, hergestellt zwischen 1968 und 1972. Ich wollte gerne eine zweite (eigentlich dritte..hüstel) Nähmaschine haben, die etwas mehr Power hat, als meine moderne Brother. Und damit lag ich bei dieser hier goldrichtig. Mit der Zeit merkt man, was man beim Nähen wirklich braucht und was eigentlich nicht. Daher bin ich vollend zufrieden, mit der Ausstattung der Bernina. Sie näht wunderbar, hat richtig Kraft und sieht sooo schön aus :) Schaut euch mal das dicke Stück leder an, was da probe genäht wurde!!

zudem kam sie in einem wunderschönen alten Koffer, in dem alles schön verstaut werden kann. Super toll finde ich auch den Anschiebetisch.

It's a Bernina minimatic 707, which was biuld between 1968 and 1972. I wanted a second (or third...) machine, with a bit more power than my modern brother machine. And this was definitely a good choice. When you have been sewing for a while, you know what you need and what not. This is why I am really happy with the simple features on this machine. And it looks so nice :)

Look a the thick piece of leather! It also came in a nice old trunk, where it can be stored in. I also really love the removable table.

Wir haben uns diese Woche auch schon angefreundet und ein paar kleine Ordnungshelfer genäht. Diese sind aus "Tildas Haus". Ich werde noch ein paar mehr machen, die sehen so schön aus auf dem Nähtisch :)

We learned to know each other during the week. We made some little boxes for my sewing corner. They're from the book "Tildas House" by Tone Finnanger. I will make more of them, they look really nice on my table :)
