Having a burger in the flower garden

Das letzte Wochenende war ich nähtechnisch ziemlich fleißig :) Ich habe mich an zwei Projekte ran gesetzt, die seit einiger Zeit auf mich warteten. Ich habe einen Schnitt gezeichnet, entwickelt aus meinem selbst konstruiertem Grundschnitt. Diesen habe ich heute aus Probestoff zugeschnitten. Mal sehen, wie er passt. Es handelt sich bei dem Schnitt um mein drittes RingCon-Kleid, wie bereits angekündigt. Für dieses Kleid habe ich ein paar Meter Lenda von Ikea grün gefärbt.

Außerdem habe ich für meinen Freund ein neues Burgerkissen genäht, Burger Nr. 1 hatte nicht lange den Kuschelattacken stand gehalten. Er war aus Filz, was keine gute Wahl war. So sah er aus:

The last weekend was very succesfull in sewing things :) I started two projects, which I had on my mind for a while. I drafted a pattern for my new RingCon-dress. I used my self constructed basic pattern. I cut a muslin today, let's the if this will fit. I dyed a few metres of Ikea's lenda in dark green for this dress.

Another thing I have finished is a new burger pillow for my boyfriend. The first one was a bad fabric choice, It were made of felt and after some cuddling it gave up ;) That's what it looked like:

Und nun gibt es Burger 2.0, aus Fleece, größer, besser, kuschelsicherer ;) Extra Deluxe mit Sesamkörnern aus der Stickmaschine ;)

And here is the new one, burger 2.0, made from Fleece fabric, bigger, better, more made for cuddling ;) Extra deluxe with machine embroidered sesame on top.

Dann habe ich nach langer Zeit mal wieder ein Quilt-Projekt begonnen, als ich vor ein paar Tagen auf diese süße Anleitung im Netz gestoßen bin. 

Ich habe schon alle Teile mit Vliesofix aufgebügelt und die Motive free motion gequiltet, es fehlt nur noch der Hintergrund. Ich liebe die free motion Technik!

Meine neue alte Bernina macht das wunderbar, näht alle Lagen ohne zu murren und das freihand Sticken macht riesen Spaß. 

After that I started a new quilt, after founding this cute tutorial on the web. I fused all the shapes with Vliesofix/Bondaweb. I have finished the quilting of the shapes, I only have to quilt the background. I love free motion quilting!

My new old Bernina can handle this very nice, it has no problem with sewing multiple layers and free motion embroidery is fun!

Fast hätte ich heute die Katzen vergessen! Also schnell noch ein Bildchen nachgereicht, wenn sie schon immer beim Schnitte zeichnen helfen wollen ;)
