Me Made Mittwoch 05.06.2013

Wednesday again...wel, I couldn't attend last weeks Me-Made-Wednesday, because my body decided, to stay in bed with sickness...

Immer wieder Mittwochs...nein, leider nicht so ganz, denn letzte Woche machte mein Körper mir einen Strich durch die Rechnung, denn er wollte lieber krank im Bett liegen..

My outfit otday is a simple black shirt and one of my favorite skirts. So I'd like to tell you a little bit about it.

Mein heutiges Me-Made-Outfit besteht aus einem simplen schwarzen Shirt und einem meiner liebsten Röcke. Dazu möchte ich euch ein bisschen was erzählen.

The pattern is from www.burdastyle.com and its called "Linda". Its a circle skirt, but not a full one, more a 3/4 circle ;)
My version is more for the colder and more wet days, but unfortenately we had some of the days during the past week...

Der Schnitt zum Rock kommt von www.burdastyle.com, er heißt "Linda". Im Prinzip ein Tellerrock, jedoch nicht ganz voll sondern eher ein dreiviertel Tellerrock ;)
Meine Version ist eher für die kalten Tage gemacht, denn sie ist aus Wolle. Aber leider gab es ja in letzter Zeit häufig kalte und vor allem nasse Tage...

The best thing about this skirt is the hem. It is made with "horsehair braid". I learned about this stuff, when I read over at Gerties. 
It is a nylon fibre, which has a little cord on the edge. So when you pull it, it lays wonderfully into a curved hem and gives it a nice drape. I wrote about this skirt here.
I found a source for it here in Germany, before I had to order it from overseas. You can find it here on Nehelenia Patterns. It's in the hatmakers supplys tab (Hutmacherware).
I really like this stuff, I am totally a fan ;)

Der Clou des Rocks ist der Saum. In diesem ist ein Material eingebaut, was sich im englischen "Horsehair Braid" nennt. Das Tutorial, was mich darauf brachte, gibt es bei Gertie. Es ist im Prinzip ein Nylongewebe, welches im Rand eine kleine Kordel hat, die dazu führt, dass es sich vor allem in Runden Säumen schön in die Kurven legt, wenn man an dieser zieht. Und es gibt dem Ganzen einen tollen Stand. Den Rock hatte ich bereits hier schon einmal vorgestellt. Inzwischen habe ich auch eine Quelle in Deutschland gefunden, nämlich gibt es Nehelenia Patterns unter "Hutmacherware". Ziemlich tolles Zeug, ich bin definitv Fan ;) Da mir heute meine Haare so gut gefallen, gibt es auch davon ein Bild ;)
